Joan Trice

Joan N. Trice, SRA is the editor and publisher of Appraisal Buzz, an email publication circulated to 43,000 opt-in subscribers. In addition to the Buzz, Joan hosts the annual Valuation Expos, the largest conference for the valuation community that attracts the industry thought leaders as keynotes and speakers. Through the Appraisal Buzz website Joan also hosts the Collateral Risk Network. The CRN is comprised of 83 chief appraisers from major lending institutions and Wall Street. The CRN also meets every year at Valuation Expos. Allterra Group, LLC is the parent company that publishes Appraisal Buzz, develops continuing education, and hosts the Valuation Expos. Joan was an early adopter of Internet business strategies and sold a web based valuation business she developed to LandAmerica. Joan's special understanding of appraiser needs goes back to her days running one of the Mid Atlantic’s largest appraisal firms, Trice Appraisal, Inc., a company she founded and owned with her brother. The ClearBox business plan is Joan’s vision to offer solutions to both appraisers and lenders.

Chris Santore

Christopher J. Santore is the president and chief executive officer (CEO) of MindBrix. Under Chris’s leadership, MindBrix has grown to be responsible for security, infrastructure, messaging and business applications for the majority of MindBrix partners. Chris is also the acting Vice President and chief information officer (CIO) of eMortgage Logic. He facilitates Enterprise Risk Management, product development and supports the integration of management principles from within the Quality & Assurance team which drive continuous and breakthrough process improvements. Chris co-founded eMortgage Logic and MindBrix with his partner and chief executive officer of eMortgage Logic Ralph Sells in the summer of 2001. The prior 12 years, Chris held roles at Freddie Mac (FRE), where he most recently served as an Analyst for the Home Steps IT division. Chris participated in several mergers that brought PHH (PHH) through HFN and Cendant (CAR) and finally into Freddie Mac’s hands in 1999. In his first year of employment his process improvements enabled the accounting unit to process millions of dollars of revenue daily from a process that could handle then just a few thousand. He proceeded to build web applications and helped develop one of the first broker price opinion (BPO) systems as a web based platform. He grew the Home Steps BPODirect software to handle tens of thousands of orders per month over the internet. Chris has an educational background in applied mathematics and computer science from the State University of New York at Albany.

Ralph Sells

Ralph Sells, President/CEO of eMortgage Logic and EVP of MindBrix, LP is the co-founder of both companies with Chris Santore. Being an industry leader in property valuations and technology means more than just the size of your business, but rather the quality of your product and service. As a result eMortgage Logic has grown in both size and reputation for its ability to be flexible and quick to meet all client needs. Ralph fostered this philosophy and culture in the late 1990’s during his days with Freddie Mac’s REO unit, HomeSteps Asset Services, where he and his team built “BPOdirect”, the unit’s first completely web based BPO service. In early 2002 with his experience in REO, BPO, mortgage servicing and investing, Ralph set out to use his skills and training to develop a state of the art application to better serve all markets relating to real estate, mortgage default and collateral risk.
